The most unique cycling event in the country returns to San Diego for its 9th edition in 2020. Dubbed “The Hell of the North (County)”, the BWR boasts a 135 mile course with over 40 miles of off-road. This is not a gravel ride, it is an EVERYTHING ride, with sectors of single-track, fire roads, hiking trails, rock gardens, water crossings, and even an honest to goodness gravel road.
With 1500 participants in 2019, the BWR stands as the third largest gravel event in America, surpassed in size only by Dirty Kanza and Barry Roubaix. If you are only going to do one epic gravel event, this is the one.
