The Sea Otter Classic is finally starting to take gravel seriously. They have TWO gravel events on the schedule for 2020.

Saturday April 18 they have a 32 mile “Gravel Grinder Tour.”

Sunday April 19 they have a 40-mile UCI-sanctioned gravel race

The Saturday Gravel grinder is open to anyone, but riders must hold a valid, current USA Cycling Racing license to participate in the race on Sunday. The race has matching prize purses of $1500 for the men and women.

For more details on the events, see Bicycling.com’s excellent write-up.
